Warcraft Lore 9: Arthas Becomes Lich King on Frozen Throne

After sucessfully escaping The Plaguelands, two foiled assasination attempts, and defeating Illidan and his Naga, King Arthas finally reaches the Frozen Throne in Northrend and fulfills his mission of freeing the Lich King's spirit and armor from his icy prison; only to be posessed by him and thus becoming the new Lich King incarnate until this very day.

Arthas, once a noble paladin of Light, plunges further into darkness...

Warcraft Lore 8: Illidan Returns with Naga

Months after the destruction of the Burning Legion and The Scouge at Mount Hyjal, another demon Overlord Kil'Jaeden recruits Illidan to destroy the weakened Lich King in the Frozen Throne, promising great power in return.

Illidan had obtained (tricked by Arthas) the skull of Gul'dan which transformed him into a black demon being. He plans to destroy the master of The Scourge no matter the cost to his soul.

However, because of his new form, he is labeled as a traitor and a renegade by his own brother and people thus banished from the forests. He then recruits the help of Lady Vash and the Naga race from under the sea, who were of the same race as Illidan 10,000 years before but were mutated after the original Well of Eternity was blown apart and the continents torn assunder.

With these fearless warriors Illidan means to right his past wrongs by destroying the Scourge. But power corrupts...

At the Battle of Mount Hyjal, Archimonde finally reaches his goal and begins to destroy the World Tree. The combined might of the Night Elves, Humans and Orcs succeeded in only delaying his approach. However, that is all they needed to do to give time for the druid Malfurion to awaken the wisps to defend the homeland!

Epilogue spoken by Medivh.

Warcraft Lore 6: Grom Hellscream's Redemption

Grom Hellscream and his clan had rallied with the up-and-coming chieftain Thrall in the battles to free themselves from the humans and in the journey to Kalimdor. Mannoroth, the demon Pit Lord and master of the Fel Orcs, wanted to curse Grom and his clan again with his demon blood to make them Fel Orc savages once more under his command.

However, Thrall was able to get to Grom in time to purge the demon blood once again and to cleanse him, but Mannoroth would not give up his orc servants so easily.

Mannoroth, had started to work his fell magic again on him and his clan. This time, Grom would not fall again under the curse, no matter the cost..

Warcraft Lore 5: Archimonde Destroys Dalaran

As Thrall continues to rally the Horde and Tauren in Kalimdor, Arthas and Kel'Thuzad summon Archimonde to Lordearon.

This powerful demon is an Overlord of the Burning Legion and uses his powerful magic to destroy Dalaran, city of the Kirin Tor. This is a step closer for the undead Scourge and Burning Legion to conquer all of Azeroth

Arthas, prince of Lordaeron, was turned from a young paladin to the "dark side" and became a Death Knight by the power of the runeblade "Frostmourne" which he was tricked into obtaining by the Lich King.

After Thrall started rallying the Horde and freeing Orc captives and when The Scourge was starting to invade the human lands of Lordaeron in northern Azeroth with a plague, the prophet Medivh, The Last Guardian, appeared to warn all humans who would hearken to his message to make ready and take up arms agains this new, alien threat, not the Orcs. Sadly and fatefully, Terennas, the King of Lordaeron and father of Arthas, did not listen.
However, Arthas and his knights would take up the battle against the plague and find the enemy behind it

Warcraft Lore 1: Coming of the Burning Legion and Scourge

This is the first in a mini series of CG movies from Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft Series that describe a bit more of the history behind World of Warcraft.

This movie came with the WC2 CD as a preview trailer. This story is about 4 years before WoW.

Story: The Second War, by human reckoning, was over. However the strife between orc and man continued. Only a new, otherworldly demonic threat may bring the warring races of Azeroth together, perhaps. The Burning Legion makes their appearance in Azeroth and bring with them a plague that will turn all into undead slaves; thus The Scourge is born

Fury of the Sunwell

The glorious fount of arcane energy known as the Sunwell empowered the high elves for millennia, until the death knight Arthas laid siege to the elven kingdom and corrupted its sacred energies. Seeing no other alternative, a band of survivors led by Prince Kael'thas destroyed the ancient fount, and over time the surviving elves fell prey to a crippling magical withdrawal. Now, promising salvation for his people, Kael'thas has returned. Soon the Sunwell will shine once again, but whether the sacred fount will usher in deliverance or destruction remains to be seen. This area includes: * A new quest hub * Magisters' Terrace - a 5-player instance * Sunwell Plateau - a 25-player instance * New badge rewards New Daily Quests: The combined forces of Shattrath have launched an attack on the Isle of Quel'Danas to confront Kael'thas and the Legion at the Sunwell and surrounding areas. Players will now be able to gain reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive and participate in a new set of daily quests. UI Improvements: The combat log has undergone improvements that allow more robust combat-text filtering, including the ability to define custom colors for enemies and friends, as well as combat text filtering for self and others. Arena Tournament Introduced: Players will be able to create level-70 characters with epic equipment and compete on special tournament realms in a new global arena tournament. November 1st: The Day After Halloween. Have you ever wondered what Halloween ghoulies and goblins do for the rest of the year? Like the Headless Horseman, they probably work another job in order to survive in a world where they can no longer do there job - scaring people.

"The Day After Halloween" is a short for the WCM Shrieking Shorts Contest and won 1ST PLACE! This 2 minute short shows just what office work is like in the World of Warcraft with the lovable Headless Horseman.

Azerothian Super Villains - Episode 5

Made up of the most evil of all of Azerothian's evil villains, the "Azerothian Super Villains" are by the far the most evil and corrupt. Core members Illidan, Kael'thas, and Archimonde attempt at their evil plans of taking over the world every day! Will there plans come to fruition? Will they take over the world? In Episode 5, "The Stockade Redemption," Illidan becomes tired of his cohorts messing up all of his plans and asks them to leave. Coincidently, at the same time the FBI finally arrives and captures Illidan once and for all, leaving Kael'thas and Archimonde to run the Azerothian Super Villains for themselves. Will Illidan suffer the rest of his life in a mediocre prison for his life of crime? Will Kael'thas or Archimonde come to the rescue or will they run the gang into the ground?

In Episode 3, "Hello, Maiev!," we follow our villains Illidan, Kael'thas, and Archimonde as they prepare to blow the world up into oblivion with "Weapons of Mass Destruction." However, when a girl arrives at the temple, all hell breaks loose and becomes a new experience for each of our villains. Will Illidan finally take over Azeroth or will Maiev, the girl and lost traveler, thwart their plans with her loveliness?
Unfortunately, Blizzard did not select this film in their Machinima contest for BlizzCon. But I am a man of my words and have released it on time, on August 3rd, 2007.

The latest major content patch for World of Warcraft, The Gods of Zul'Aman, adds an impressive array of new challenges, features, changes, and rewards to World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

Zul'Aman is a 10-person raid dungeon located in the Ghostlands, with enemies and spoils that pick up where Karazhan leaves off. This outdoor raid dungeon is home to the vicious Amani forest trolls and their leader, the infamous Zul'jin. You and your band of heroes will battle the dungeon's six bosses, including four avatars of Zul'Aman, each bearing the aspect of a different ferocious creature. Zul'Aman also features a challenging bonus reward structure based on completing certain objectives within a time limit, which provides an extra level of challenge -- and thrills -- for seasoned raid groups.

The other defining characteristic of The Gods of Zul'Aman is the bounty of rewards, both material and intangible, that it offers many types of players. The powerful epic items found in Zul'Aman are just the beginning. There is a host of new purchasable rewards as well, from the gladiator rewards of Arena Season 3, to the dozens of new Badge of Justice rewards and the full set of new Honor rewards. There are also more useful and fun items such as the new Flying Machine flying mounts, which can be built and operated by skilled engineers. Among the more abstract benefits to players are faster leveling to 60, the revamping of Dustwallow Marsh with new quests, new daily quests for dungeons and battlegrounds, and many class balance changes. This is just a sampling of the bounty that awaits in The Gods of Zul'Aman.

NEW FEATURES:

*Guild Banks
The Guild Bank is a shared repository for an entire guild and will be accessible through Guild Vault objects near existing banks. The Guild Bank allow players with the appropriate permissions to store items and money for use by the rest of the guild.

*New Badge of Justice rewards
An all-new assortment of epic rewards is available from G'eras in Shattrath City. In addition, Badges of Justice will now drop from bosses within Karazhan and Zul'Aman.

*Faster leveling to 60
Now leveling from character levels 20-60 is faster, with less experience needed per level in that range as well as higher quest experience rewards for quests levels 30-60.

*New daily quests
Battlegrounds, normal dungeons, and Heroic dungeons all have new daily quests. The particular battleground or dungeon in which the quest takes place is randomly selected each day.

*New flying mounts
New flying mounts can be found in this patch, including the first ever player-craftable mount: Flying Machines! Engineers of sufficient skill can now create these fantastic contraptions in both normal and epic varieties.

*Auction House improvements
The Auction House has been revamped with a more streamlined user interface and smarter functionality.

*New combat stat: Expertise
This new statistic reduces the chance that your attacks will be blocked, dodged, or parried. Expertise rating replaces weapon skill rating on current items.

*Bonus spell damage from bonus healing
Bonus healing effects now convey a percentage of its value towards spell damage. Both previously existing and new items will reflect this on their tooltips, and the amount granted is approximately 1/3 of the bonus healing amount.

*Alterac Valley changes
Additional design elements have been introduced into the battleground to improve its gameplay with higher levels of competition and fun.

*Return to Dustwallow Marsh
Many new quests have been added to Dustwallow Marsh to provide more leveling options for mid-level characters.
